Daniel Lichty’s experience in construction began as a young boy, working alongside his father. He credits his father, Dan Lichty, with providing him with many opportunities to learn the trade. His father built custom homes and did remodeling near Cedarville, OH, where Daniel grew up.

Daniel can recall being on jobsites with his father growing up; he learned the meaning of hard work, picking up skills like pouring concrete, framing, demo-work and managing a job site from start to finish. While Daniel was still in school, they spent their summers in Georgia, working on commercial construction projects with Daniel’s uncle, Galen. When Daniel graduated high school at 18, the family moved permanently south to Newnan, Georgia. Dan & Galen formed Lichty Brothers Construction together and Daniel worked as a superintendent for the company. He was given little instruction; his father & uncle gave him a push and forced him to figure it out on his own. Their way of teaching him to problem solve on his own, and take the initiative, helped him develop into the successful builder he is today.

In addition to running Lichty Brothers Homes, Coweta County’s well-known and very successful remodeling company, with his uncle, Daniel formed Lichty Building Group (formerly Moranna Construction) in 2010. He began building custom homes for himself out of that entity and it has now branched into his own remodeling, custom home & commercial construction business.

He considers himself blessed to be able to work side by side with his wife, Megan Lichty, who runs Auld House Design out of the same office space. She and her team of designers serve the LBG customers in addition to outside clients.

Daniel believes that the success of the company is due to the outstanding individuals that work alongside him, many of whom have worked with him 15 years or more, and all of whom he considers family.
